6 Uses For Breastmilk You Probably Hadn't Thought Of-Li'l Zippers-Baby Zip Rompers

Breast milk really is amazing stuff. In fact, it's like liquid gold and has uses far beyond that of simply feeding your baby (where it's absolute magic).

Here's a few things you may not have thought of that you can do with any extra supply you might have.

1. Cracked Nipples

Post-nursing, squeeze out a few drops, rub it in and let dry. Breast milk can kill the bacteria that cause mastitis.

2. Cradle Cap

Rubbing breast milk on baby's cradle cap may help it heal faster.

3. Chapped Lips

Rub a little milk on baby's (or mom's!) lips if they seem chapped or dry.

4. Blocked or Inflamed Tear Ducts

They're normal in newborns and will clear up in time, but a little topically applied breast milk can help too.

5. Inflamed Skin

From nappy rash to eczema, insect bites to sunburn - rubbing breast milk on baby can soothe her inflamed skin - and yours.

6. Acne/Baby acne

Just a little on the skin can help with this common issue!

Pretty amazing stuff, isn't it! Of course, always consult your paediatrician if you have any concerns about your baby's health.
